Frequently Asked Questions
I have lost my catalogues. How do I download them again?
You have access to your purchased catalogues until their expiry date and can re-download them again at any time. Within ArtiQUOTE go to the Download button and click Download Catalogues to open the website. Select 'My Catalogues' to display a list of titles you have already purchased. At the bottom of the page click the link that says "Send me all of my catalogues"
Can I see a list of catalogues I have purchased?
Yes. Within ArtiQUOTE go to Help > ArtiQUOTE online. From the website select My Catalogues to show a list of catalogues you have purchased. It will show if you have the status of the catalogue and display whether the catalogue is loaded into your ArtiQUOTE application.
How do I change my company details?
Within the ArtiQUOTE application click the Download button and then click Update Account Settings. Make your changes and click the update button to save and close. Next time you log on to the ArtiQUOTE website your updated details will be displayed.
What is My Catalogue?
My Catalogue is used for your own generic list of products (e.g. your own furniture catalogue). You will need to download and add a free catalogue e.g. 'ArtiCAD Furniture (Limited)'. Once you have added this to your version of ArtiQUOTE you can click My Catalogue. The data has example products and prices but you can edit the items and you can add your own, up to a maximum of 250 products.
How do I backup my data?
There is a backup utility under File > Utilities > Backup. This backups up all your user data but not your catalogues. This file is created in your Documents\ArtiQUOTEWORK FILES\Backups folder but for best protection take a copy of the file to store it offsite to protect against fire and theft. Alternatively you can include the ArtiQUOTE DATA folder in your existing PC backup schedule. The default location is C:\ArtiQUOTE\WORK FILES\Backups. Press F1 in ArtiQUOTE for a full guide to backups.
How do I put my company logo on my documents?
Within ArtiQUOTE click Customise, then in General Layout place a tick in the box "Show company logo". This places a graphic at the top of the documents instead of the name and address in plain text. You will need to change the graphic or replace it with another file the same size. The default example logo is called userlogo.bmp saved in the C:\artiquote folder. The size of the image must remain 720 x 124 pixels.
How do I change the layout of my documents?
You can change the layout of the quote and acknowledgement documents. To change the default go to Customise > Quotation Layout (or Acknowledgement Layout). Use the tick boxes to change settings or click onto Product Group Settings to change the pricing layout (e.g. individual prices or sub-totals). You can change individual quotes by going to print in a quote and then click Alter Layout.
Can I change the furniture range of a quote?
You can change the range and colour of a quotation and even keep both the original and alternative saved. Open your quote and click Edit. Then click the Headings button at the top right and make any changes. Click OK and the quote will be re-priced in your new range. To keep both versions click Save As and the quote will be given a new reference number. You will now have 2 quotes saved to the one customer.
Can I copy a quote?
Yes. Open the quote and press the Edit button. Then click Save As (not Save). This will keep both versions and your new quote will be given a new reference number. You will now have 2 quotes saved to the one customer. You can repeat to make copies. Note you can only do this from a quote, not when it has become a sales order.
Can I add my own picture to a product?
Yes. Click the Catalogue button on the main toolbar and then use Search to locate a product. When you can see the product right-click on the space at the bottom right of the window (or the existing picture if the product has one already). Right-clicking shows options to either "Select Image" for the selected colour or default for all colours. You can then browse to a picture. To add pictures save them in JPEG format and store them in the folder c:\Artiquote\DATA\My Pictures.
How do I add a supplier who doesn't have a catalogue?
You can use ArtiQUOTE to store your supplier details of any company who does not have their data available. Click onto Supplier on the top toolbar and then click Add. Complete as many details as you need and click Update.
